I am amazing

There is so much beauty all around me

The magic of ancient quartz-sparkled sand

beneath my gleefully naked feet

Echoes of beach and higher tides

tracks of lizard bend slow

red robin spit fires from branch to branch

quickly come, quickly go

kookaburra moves in, puffing out feathers

claiming space, stern gaze across beak

ever changing colours of the sunset sky

sliding the landscape palette

through shades and hues to silhouette

Figures remain steady, arms outstretched

Dark moon, possum chatters and koala snarl

echoes off watchful cliffs

as they move through tree filled terraces

find companions and silent rest
